Position: International Purchasing Assistant Intern (Remote)

Location: Remote (based in Lithuania)

Duration: 6 Months

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Compensation: Will be discussed during the interview


About the Role

This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain international experience and develop procurement skills in a flexible work environment. As an International Purchasing Assistant Intern, you will assist in the end-to-end procurement process, working closely with the purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of electronic components.


Responsibilities

  • Research, contact, and negotiate with international suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of goods.


  • Keep accurate and updated records of suppliers, products, and purchase history to facilitate smooth procurement processes.


  • Establish communication with suppliers to negotiate the best prices, delivery terms, and payment conditions.


  • Work with logistics teams to ensure timely shipping and delivery of goods, managing timelines and coordinating with suppliers.


  • Make sure all purchases adhere to international trade regulations, tariffs, and customs requirements.


  • Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the company’s needs.


  • Continuously assess supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, and cost to make informed purchasing decisions.


  • Draft and process purchase orders, manage contracts, and handle procurement documentation.


  • Address and resolve any issues or delays in the supply chain to maintain a smooth procurement process.



Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related fields).


  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.


  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.


  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.


  • Proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.


  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.


  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
